Testimonials...

Fourth
of July we had a terrible incident in which our 2 year
old giant Alaskan Malamute attacked our house guest. He was scared by the fireworks and our house
guests were scared of dogs- and we were ignorant of the
signs that this was possible. Although our friend
was not terribly injured it was clearly a problem and we
were terrified that this could happen again. I called
several “experts” in animal behavior and each
time I was advised to “just put the dog down”. Well,
this was unthinkable to me! Finally, I found Cheri
Lucas and was blessed to have her take us on as clients.
Our giant baby Titan went to Second Chance at Love Humane
Society for their Board to Behave Program. He spent
6 weeks in rehabilitation working daily with Cheri and
her wonderful balanced pack and the difference in him is
astonishing. He came back a new dog with a new attitude! However,
that was just the beginning…..the problem as it
turns out, is not only with Titan, but with us- his humans. Cheri
patiently worked with both of us to be calm assertive pack
leaders. It wasn’t easy but worth every minute. We
made the commitment to Titan to work with him everyday-
from now on and it has been a joyous experience. I
look forward to our daily walks and I love watching him
progress into a calm submissive giant dog. He is
loving and respectful. He knows his rules and boundaries
and most of all he is alive! Without Cheri, I cannot
say that would be the case now.
Thank you Cheri! You saved Titan’s life,
quite literally and you gave our family the knowledge and
ability to live with our dogs in a happy, calm and joyful
place. Thank you seems hugely inadequate for what
you have done for us…..but please know that we are
forever in your debt. Your knowledge, patience and
love for our canine family members is a wonder to behold! You
are our Angel.
With deepest gratitude and love,
George Ross and Titan too!

Cheri, what an absolutely terrific program!
Comprehensive, articulate, easy to understand, and to
the point. I wish every person who speaks in public could
have been there today taking notes on your delivery.
And it sure hit hom with a lot of people - everybody
walking out the door with me was talking about dogs.

How can I thank Cheri, who literally changed
my life? I am a lawyer, constantly looking around every
corner to find the liability and how I might get sued.
I had the bad fortune of being cursed with a Jack Russell “terrorist” who
found it necessary to try to kill any other animal in his
path. So you can imagine the fun I had taking my high energy
JRT for walks, which this breed desperately needs to relieve
excess energy if you want to sleep at night. It was a constant
stress, knowing my JRT needed his walks, but fearful that
at any moment some dog off-leash or other animal might
cross his path (lawsuit:). I was desperate. I really didn't
think that anyone could fix my boy, Jack. But being desperate,
I decided to give Cheri, Cesar's protégée,
a try. How do I thank Cheri? Well, I probably really never
can. My JRT is a changed boy. And, I am a changed dog-owner.
What I didn't realize is how much my energy and actions
impacted the way my JRT reacted in every situation. I am
now one big ALPHA with him, and not the other way around.
I really cannot express in words (unusual for an attorney:)
the relief of actually taking my dog out for a walk and
not being stressed out over what he might do that might
result in a lawsuit. Cheri is quite simply a miracle in
my life, and I am eternally grateful to her. She is dedicated
to her cause of rehabilitating dogs, and so sacrificial
in doing so, and it is just an honor and a blessing to
have landed in her path. For the millionth time, Cheri,
thank you.
